Clocks and watches

Besides a few table clocks, the Museum owns 24 pocket watches by German and French masters, mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries. Their cases are made of gold or silver. They were frequently decorated with coloured enamel pictures or with pearls. The watchworks were usually made by the famous watchmakers of the period. The clockes and watches were acquired from the San Marco collections.
