11. Medieval works from Hungary and the German and Austrian territories

The composition was borrowed from a woodcut by Dürer (B10) of the same theme from his smaller Passion series. The grooves on the back suggest the wood support was thinned. The monogram of Albercht Dürer was etched at a later date.
